Manhattan CLARO
Manhattan CLARO meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. and on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Clinics are held in Room 323A at the New York Civil Court, located at 111 Centre St, New York, NY 10013. We cannot make guarantees about attorney placements due to various factors including limited number of attorneys, differing complexities of cases, and varying availability of court documents.
We recommend you come to CLARO as soon as you become aware that there is a case against you. We can provide assistance at various stages of the legal process, including before you file an answer and after a judgement has been entered against you.
Manhattan CLARO also offers remote consultations to a limited number of individuals who have outstanding circumstances preventing them from attending clinics in-person. In order to be eligible for this service, you must have access to email and a printer.

Please note that the CLARO Program reserves the right to decline to serve any member of the public who treats a member of the CLARO team, whether a staff member, VISTA member, or volunteer, unprofessionally and/or disrespectfully.

A complete copy of your court file, which you can get from the Clerk’s Office
Any court documents you have
Any other documents relating to your debt
A government ID, in case there is a need to notarize a signature
Due to the high volume of visitors, CLARO cannot guarantee that everyone will be seen, and we recommend you sign in as early as possible.
